Event Centre / Assembly Location

The Event Centre is at the University of Lincoln Sports Centre.

Series and Level

The Lincoln City Race is proud to be part of the City Race Euro Tour 2025 and UK Orienteering League 2025. It is a British Orienteering Level B event.

Map

All courses will use a double sided A3 map at a scale of 1:4000.

Entries

Pre-entries are via SiEntries system here (and also here for 12 Jul in Nottingham). Entries close on Sunday 29th June.

Late entries after 29 Jun 25 will be available via SiEntries, subject to map availability, with a £2 surcharge. The is no entry on the day.

Cost. £15.00 Adult LOG & British Orienteering members; £17.00 other Adults; £8.00 Juniors (until 29 Jun 25).

SI Hire. Hire SI timing chips will be available at registration for a fee of £1.00. Please note that lost SI cards will be charged at £60.00.

Terrain

Historic Lincoln City, including surrounding urban areas, and complex building layouts, including the modern University campus. The terrain will predominantly be tarmac, concrete and cobbles with short stretches of parkland. Shorts and road trainers are entirely appropriate. Please be aware that Lincoln is known for its cobbled street ‘Steep Hill’ and that all courses will include a reasonable climb!

Traders / catering

Orienteering clothing and equipment retailers Compass Point will have their usual range of goods for sale at the Event Centre on Sunday.

There will also be a hot food van and a cake stand for pre and post-race nutrition, for athletes and supporters alike.

Toilets. Toilets and showers will be available at the Event Centre

Dogs. Dogs are permitted on leads.
